The Great Bend Public Library’s annual Friends of the Library Book Sale starts Friday, Oct. 21, but there’s an “early bird” special for members.
“We have five days of great deals on books this year,” said Hannah Grippin, outreach manager at the library.
Friends of the Library members get first crack at the assortment of used books, which they can peruse from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, for a $5 entry fee. The library is located at 1409 Williams St.
Admission is free and open to the public starting at 10 a.m. Friday. The sale continues from 10 a.m. to 4:30 Friday and Saturday. On Sunday, Oct. 23, all sale items will be half off from 1-5 p.m.
Monday, Oct. 24, is donation day; take what you want and pay whatever you want from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The cost to join Friend of the Library is $10 per year for an individual or $20 per family. People can sign up at the library any time, including at the book sale.
Proceeds from the sale support the Great Bend Public Library
