Mike and Patty Hipp of Claflin announce the engagement of their daughter Katie Hipp to Bryant Patterson, son of Keith and Susan Patterson of Sterling.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Central Plains High School. She graduated from Fort Hays State University in May 2019 with a Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology. She is employed by Rehab Visions, a skilled nursing facility, in McPherson.

The prospective groom is a graduate of Sterling High School. He graduated from Dodge City Community College with an Electrical Power Technician Associates degree. He is employed by Westar Energy in Salina as a lineman.

The wedding is planned for Sept. 7, at Holy Family Church in Odin.
