Greetings from the Great Bend Public Library! Next Saturday, March 26, we have an exciting event planned for families! If you have been in the Children’s Area recently you may have noticed some new decorations in preparation for our Family Seussabration! We invite families to read, play, and experiment as they take part in a Suess-filled morning of activities. Look forward to making Oobleck, going fishing, balancing apples, popping bubbles, and eating truffula tree seeds. The Cat in the Hat will even be around to amuse everyone as he hands out prizes!
Next week we open up our registration for April’s TeenBookCrate. This month’s theme is “Between the Lines” (Mystery), so if you’re a teen in grades 6 through 12, be sure to sign up to get all kinds of fun goodies. Go to greatbendpl.info/teens and click on the link to claim yours today! Thursday, March 24, we have our Teen Anime Watch Party at 5:30 p.m. Come hang out, eat some popcorn, and watch as many episodes of anime as we can fit in an hour and a half (series picked by popular vote).
For anyone planning on enrolling in college next year, we will be having a FAFSA Night here on Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The local Central Kansas Educational Opportunity Center will be here to assist individuals with submitting their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
We will also have our normal weekly events like Early Literacy Story Time at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday and Crochet Club at 4 p.m. and Family Story Time at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
