The library closes when schools close

Greetings from the Great Bend Public Library! I hope everyone made it through the snowstorm all right. We managed to get quite a lot of snow over those few days. If the weather is ever pretty bad and you want to know if the library is open or closed we will always post that information on our social media. We also close anytime local schools close. So keep an eye on those sources before heading out into the crazy weather. Also keep in mind that we never charge late fees, so if you aren’t able to travel for a few days due to inclement weather don’t worry about your library materials. Stay safe and get them returned when you can.

As far as events next week we have our normal children’s events planned, starting Tuesday with Virtual Story Time at 10:30 a.m. Take and make crafts related to the story will be available throughout the week after story time. Then Wednesday at 3 p.m. our Virtual Library Learning Room with Miss Jessica will be posted on our Facebook and web page. You can find our  S.T.E.A.M. Ahead activity in the same places Thursdays at 3 p.m. All past Story Times, Learning Libraries and S.T.E.A.M. Ahead activities can be found on our website, greatbendpl.info, on their respective pages.

Stay safe out there and have a great week. Don’t forget to keep an eye on our Facebook and our website, greatbendpl.info, for upcoming programs and updates. You can also message us on Facebook or email us at gbcirc@gmail.com. We can also be reached at 620-792-2409.
