The Pawnee Heights Players are presenting their annual dinner theater on Nov. 12, in the gym/stage area at Pawnee Heights School in Rozel. Tickets are $15 and can be ordered by calling the school at 620-527-4211. Dinner starts at 6 p.m. with the play starting at 7 p.m. The play without a meal may be seen at no cost at the school matinee on Friday at 2 p.m. or at the presentation on Saturday.
The play, Complaint Department and Lemonade, is a comedy by Kamron Klitgaard about a very active but unusual complaint department. The play was published by the Pioneer Drama Service in Denver, Colo. Lee Durler will be directing the play with 15 cast members and quite a few crew members handling lights, sound, and curtains. Students participating in the production are, seniors Micaela Polson and Spencer VanMeter; juniors, Regan Carlson, Jace Lawson, Allison Luper, Gabriel Oddo, Candice Peterson, Nicole Roberts, Bailey Seltlmann, and Dawson Williams; sophomores, Josiah Carr, Dalton Hamby, Tiffany Humphrey, and Logan Williams; freshmen, Jackson Henbest, Lane Pywell, and Jacelyn Salmans; with 8th grader Caleb Seltmann filling up the student list. Principal Antoinette Root has a small part, too.
The National Honor Society will be collecting pop tabs and box tops for the Ronald McDonald House in Wichita and to help fund the library.
