CHICAGO A couple inspired by the realistic and adorable cute-meet in 101 Dalmatians recreated the scene for their engagement photos and the Internet swooned.
Corinne Jones, 25, is a big fan of the animated Disney film, so when it came time to take engagement pictures, she had just the thing in mind: recreating the moment when Pongo and Perdita bring Anita and Roger together, sealing the deal for the four.
Jones and her fiance, Tony Collier, 26, bought era-appropriate clothing and custom-made felt hats for the shoot complete with that unique yellow flower on Anitas bucket hat, according to Mashable.
"I...have always loved that Roger and Anita were not the typical fairytale," Jones told Mashable in an email. "They were believable characters who didn't just come together merely by wishing on a star and casting a magic spell."
Her cousin Melissa Biggerstaff of Rusty Lion Art shot the pond-side scene in which Jones and Collier, along with dogs Mookie & Izabelle, reenacted the scene in which Pongo and Perdita wrap Anita and Roger together in their leashes, causing them to fall into the pond and come out soaking wet, Collier wrote on Imgur earlier this week. The post blew up, being shared across the Internet.
The couples mothers also helped on the shoot, handing out treats to the dogs and keeping the couple dripping wet.
The couple will be married next summer.
