Everyones favorite forgetful fish is trying to find her roots in the first trailer for Pixars Finding Dory.
Ellen DeGeneres, the voice behind Dory, released the trailer early Tuesday morning on her YouTube channel, which features Dory, Nemo and Marlin. According to a Disney press release, the new movie takes place just six months after the end of "Finding Nemo" in the city of Monterey on the California coast.
Dory finds out that she was born at the Marine Biology Institute of California, a large rehabilitation facility for marine life, and was freed into the ocean at a young age. Emulating Dorys memory, the films flashbacks are 2D animation. The new setting comes a wave of exciting new characters Bailey the beluga (Ty Burrell), Destiny the whale shark (Kaitlin Olson) and Hank the octopus (Ed ONeill).
DeGeneres aggressively campaigned for a sequel to the 2003 blockbuster and officially announced "Finding Dory" on her show in 2013.
The trailer is already blowing up online, becoming the No. 1 trending topic on Twitter.
The movie will open in theaters on June 17, 2016.
