HOLLYWOOD This week brought the release of some highly anticipated movie trailers, as well as a blow to fans of a royal franchise.

Heres the scoop from Hollywood:

"Princess Diaries 3" just a dream

Fans of the popular Disney film franchise swooned when word spread earlier this week of a third installment in the works. But it appears the royal hype was just that Entertainment Weekly cites a source close to the franchise saying there are no plans for another sequel or reboot of any kind.

The Princess Diaries, which helped launch Oscar winner Anne Hathaway to stardom, premiered in 2001 and became a surprise box office smash raking in $165 million worldwide. It follows plain Jane Mia Thermopolis (Hathaway) as she discovers her royal heritage and embraces her destiny as a princess with the help of her queen of a grandmother, played by the legendary Julie Andrews.

The film was so successful it prompted a 2004 sequel. Rumors have flown for years about a potential third film, likely without Hathaways involvement, but it appears those rumors remain just that for now.

The long-anticipated return of Charlie Brown and Co.

Good news for fans of the Peanuts gang a newly-released full-length trailer provides the first peek at the plot for the much-anticipated Peanuts Movie, and it seems to revolve around a beautiful red-haired girl.

The whole gang is back this time, in 3-D. But this time, Charlie Brown is determined to change who hes always been and finally become a winner.

With the help of his loyal dog Snoopy, Charlie Brown sets out to win the heart of the new girl next door. And as someone who has been rooting for the down-and-out, prematurely balding kid for years, I sure hope he comes out a champion.

Peanuts creator Charles Schulz passed away in 2000, but with his son and grandson behind the writing, the new installment involving his beloved characters is sure to pay adequate tribute to his legacy, according to USA Today.

The Peanuts Movie hits theaters Nov. 6.

Draculas worst nightmare

Dracula and his friends are back for more spooky antics in Hotel Transylvania 2, but this time, the worlds greatest vampire is a grandpa. The only problem? His grandson might not be a vampire. And his beloved daughter is thinking about moving her family to the land of the living normal.

So Dracula (voiced again by Adam Sandler) takes it upon himself to teach his kin how to be a monster, with the hopes his encouragement will help the boy grow fangs, thus keeping him close.

Hotel Transylvania 2 scares its way into theaters Sept. 25.
