UP WHERE THEY WALK A toddlers rendition of Part of Your World from Disneys 1989 classic The Little Mermaid is equal parts adorable and impressive.

Aside from looking as though shes routinely dressed by small animated birds in the morning, 3-year-old Claire Ryann Crosby loves to sing, according to her father and mastermind behind the darling video, Dave Crosby. She loves the pastime so much she often spends her days singing any number of songs from the Disney princess canon and has even entertained strangers with her vocal stylings, according to her dad.

A few months ago, I was paying for an oil change, and when I turned around (Claire) was singing 'Little Mermaid' in the lobby while everyone had their phones out recording her, Crosby wrote in an interview with ksl.com.

The video depicting Claires studio-quality version of the ditty, posted to YouTube earlier this month, was filmed as a sort of daddy-daughter project on New Years Day. It includes shots of her singing and observing the editing process, which her dad said "she loved," saying, "She would ask me if she did a good job; of course I would always tell her she did amazing, and then she would run around the room celebrating."

Its impressive that little Claire not only has all the words to the songs memorized but is able to implement the small inflections in the spoken moments. When asked if little Claire needed prompting to remember the words and use correct diction, her dad said, Somehow, she learned to speak and enunciate really well at such a young age, and I think that has made it easier for her to hear and understand the words so that she could memorize them. She has an amazing memory.

The reason Crosby was able to get such a great recording of Claire was that he writes music for commercials and movies in addition to doing freelance work for a film company in Salt Lake City. Between that and a day job at Amazon, Crosby said it was important to slow down and make time with his daughter. He said hes hoping to make more videos in the future. Apparently, Claire is dying to record Let It Go.

We hope it happens.
