I can barely watch this video of this plane landing in extreme winds, so I can't even imagine what it would have been like to be on the plane. - photo by John Clyde

THE BUMPY SKIES I've always been a pretty good flier.

I don't get too nervous, and my anxiety doesn't fly through the roof. I am over six feet tall and over 200 pounds, so the seats are the most uncomfortable thing I've had to deal with. The flight itself never bothers me.

With all that said, however, if I were on the flight from this video, I would never step onto an airplane ever again.

The video was taken at the Dusseldorf Airport during a windstorm. A Eurowings airplane had to make a landing in 70 mph winds; my heart stopped several times while watching the aircraft tip and dip. If I were on the plane, I likely would have been hysterical and curled up in a ball on the floor.

I have to tip my hat to the pilot who managed to keep his or her cool and land the plane safely and likely on time. I wish there was something I did half as well as this pilot flies, but it's just not meant to be.

Unless eating chicken wings is a gift, because I'm pretty good at that.
