Is this video a loop? I feel like this is a loop. - photo by John Clyde

CANADA, EH In Alberta, Canada, a group of elk started crossing the road and for a moment I thought I was watching a loop of a never-ending line of elk. I wasn't, it was just an actual never-ending line of elk.

OK, it wasn't never-ending, but close enough. I felt like I do when I fall asleep during a movie at home only to wake up and realize the DVD menu has been playing on repeat for four hours.

Thankfully this happened in Canada where everyone is friendly and so they patiently waited for the elk crossing to finish. Also, these were Canadian elk so they tried to be courteous and get across the road as quickly as possible. Because Canadian elk are cool like that.

Even about 29 seconds in, a male elk looks right at the camera and almost seems to say, "My bad. We really needed to get over here. Thanks for understanding. You're the best. Say hi to your family for me. Your mother is lovely."

I'm not an animal expert, but I'm pretty sure that's what the elk was trying to say. So nice. We should all be more like Canadian elk.
