Marvel tweeted on Tuesday that the new Avengers: Infinity War trailer will drop today.

The new film will reportedly be the beginning of the finale for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which began more than 10 years ago with Iron Man.

Here's what you should expect from the trailer:

Every Marvel hero: As Uproxx reported, Avengers: Infinity War will star every Marvel Cinematic Universe character seen over the last 10 years, including Iron Man, War Machine, Black Widow, Black Panther, Vision, Spider-Man, Captain America, Hawkeye, Ant-Man, Falcon, Bucky Barnes, Scarlet Witch, the Guardians of the Galaxy, the Wasp, Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel and so many more.

Co-directors Anthony and Joe Russo said they fought very hard to make sure all the characters appeared in the film.

Well take blame for the scale because we were pushing for it, Joe Russo told Vanity Fair. We were pushing to make it bigger, we were pushing it, saying, Look, what youve done is an impressive narrative over 10 years, and why shouldnt this involve every character? It should be the culmination, so in some way, we have to touch on everyone in their story, or their theme. It has to be woven in, in some way. You cant really look back and go, Hey, remember the last time that somebody took 12 franchises and blended them together and told the movie with 60 lead characters? So thats the challenge, and you have to create your own structure for a story like that. You look at Lord of the Rings, or you can look at (Robert Altmans) Nashville, but there is no real template for it.

A finale: According to Entertainment Weekly, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige said that the new film will bring things youve never seen in superhero films: a finale.

He added, There will be two distinct periods. Everything before Avengers 4 and everything after. I know it will not be in ways people are expecting.

The end of an era: As Quartz reported, several of the movies cast members will have expiring contracts after Avengers: Infinity War and the yet-to-be-named final Avengers film finishes up in 2019.

Stars like Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans will all have expiring contracts at that time.

Whatever the case, it sounds like the Marvel Cinematic Universe will pass the torch onto new heroes in Phase 4 of its film strategy, according to Quartz.
