Patrons invited to reception for Willems

Happy Friday from Your Great Bend Public Library. November has just flown by and we can’t believe that December is here already. We have a lot planned this month but we wanted to start off by letting you know which days we will be opening late and which days we will be closed.
On Friday, Dec. 1, we will be opening late at 1 p.m. as staff will be attending our Director, Mr. Harry Willems’, Retirement party.
On Monday, Dec. 4, We will be opening late at 12 p.m. as staff will be participating in a staff meeting, continuing education meeting, and afterwards have our yearly ornament exchange.
On Sunday, Dec. 24, and Monday, Dec. 25, we will be closed for the Holiday.
On Sunday, Dec. 31, we will be closed for the Holiday.
We will be having a public reception and retirement party for Mr. Willems on Tuesday, Dec. 12, from 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. in the Main Area of the Library. We will have refreshments available and we are asking all of you to come in and wish him a Happy Retirement and thank him for all the work he has done for our library and our library system.
Also coming up we have a very special Santa Storytime at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday Dec. 20.
On Monday, Dec. 4, we are opening at 12 p.m. and will have Innovation Station at 4 p.m. and the Teen Spot becomes a quiet Study Area at 4 p.m. as well. At 6 p.m. there will be Crochet @ the Library with Liz.
On Tuesday, Dec. 5, there will be Baby Bounce Storytime at 9:30 a.m. There will be Toddler Storytime at 10:30 a.m. At 3 p.m. there is a Tech Tuesday Class on Microsoft Word 10.
On Wednesday, Dec. 6, there is a Bilingual Storytime at 10:30 a.m. At 3:30 p.m. there will be a 3-D Printer Basics Class. At 4 p.m. there is a Teen Movie in the Teen Spot.
On Thursday, Dec. 7, there is Crochet @ the Library at 3 p.m. with Liz. At 6 p.m. there is a Teen Cooking Day in the Lower Level Meeting Room.
On Friday, Dec. 8, there is a Pre-school Storytime at 10:30 a.m.
