The three P.E.O. Chapters of Great Bend, DU, HR and IV, celebrated their STAR Scholarship winners with a reception on May 25. Alyvia Mingenback, sponsored by Chapter DU; August Siefkes, sponsored by Chapter HR; and Ellyson Somers, sponsored by Chapter IV; will each receive $2,500 towards their ensuing academic year.

The P.E.O. STAR Scholarship is a highly competitive one-time $2,500 scholarship recognizing women in their final year of high school who demonstrate outstanding leadership, academic achievement, extracurricular activities, and community service. This past year, 1,000 scholarships were awarded throughout the United States and Canada. Each applicant must be sponsored by a local P.E.O. chapter.

The hard work and financial contributions by the members of local P.E.O. chapters provide incredible benefits for each of their educational projects and recipients.
