Lois Mauler (Stoss)

On Nov. 15, 2021, Lois Mauler (Stoss) celebrated her 80th birthday. Her family came together at Christmas time for a surprise formal celebration of her wonderful years of life.

Lois was born in Great Bend and was the youngest of four children of Wm. Stoss Sr. and Marie (Pundsack) Stoss. Lois married Gerald Mauler on June 6, 1960. They survived the raising of five children, Kevin, Kathy Fischer, Jeff, Connie McKee and Shelly Taylor. They are blessed to have 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Lois has lived in Great Bend all her life and worked prior to having children and then again once the kids were in school. She has always helped with the family farm – running machinery or providing meals during harvest, which she still does, and anything else that needs to be done on the farm. She loves being a farm wife.

A wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, there isn’t a time when she isn’t cooking for family or others and hosting family get-togethers – she is known for her amazing pies. Very much loved by everyone – she is the rock of her family.
