LWV meets Tuesday at Walnut Bowl

League of Women Voters of Great Bend will meet at noon on Tuesday at the Walnut Bowl, 3101 Washington St. in Great Bend. Enter at north doors and go through double doors on the right. 

The program will be provided by Jacqueline Lightcap. She is a league member from Topeka and administrator for the state league. She attended the 63rd UN Convention on the Status of Women as a delegate with the LWVUS. She will share her experiences there, the league’s long history with the United Nations and opportunities to “think globally, act locally.” The floor is open to questions. 

Lunch will be available from the buffet or menu. Meetings are open to the public. League is a non-partisan organization devoted to informing and educating the voting public on national, state and local issues of importance. Membership is open to men and women.
