Make fairy gardens and other crafts
Book Nook.jpg

Greetings from the Great Bend Public Library! We have lots of fun crafts to look forward to this week, starting Saturday with a teen and adult in-person craft. Come to the library Saturday at 11 a.m. and learn to make your own tiny fairy garden in a bottle! You will get to sculpt your own little fairy home to nestle in your bottle full of moss, then decorate their little bottled home with some sculpted mushrooms. These are going to be so cute and I’m sure they would make a fun spring accessory or gift!

Then Monday, adults and teens have more crafts. Adults can pick up a take and make craft for a paper rose. Something quick and fun to get you in the spring mood. At 4:30 Monday afternoon teens can join us for a tasty craft, Toaster Pastry Pillows! We advise against eating this craft, no matter how good the final product looks.

Hurrah for in-person storytime with Miss Amy! We are back in person with stories, songs, dancing, and more Tuesday mornings at 10:30. Every week there will be a new take and make to go with that week’s storytime. Even if you can’t make it to storytime the take and makes will be available for kids to pick up all week.

The library has gotten a ton of new books, manga, TV shows, and movies this week and last. Come check out what’s new, because there is a little something for everyone. While you’re here finding your next great read or watch, don’t forget to check out our Santa Fe Trail display, for information, books, and to get your passport to the Sante Fe Trail.

Please keep in mind that any time you are entering the library you will need to be wearing a mask. This is a county-wide mandate therefore all patrons entering the building must wear a mask at all times. Library staff will be wearing masks. Keep an eye on our Facebook and our website, greatbendpl.info, for upcoming programs and updates. You can also message us on Facebook or email us at gbcirc@gmail.com.
