Mary Sue Schneider of Hoisington celebrated her 80th birthday on May 18, 2019, with a catered dinner for family and friends. Hosts for the dinner were her daughter Lynn Kern, granddaughter Kennedy Kern and friends Denis and Teresa Bachand and Rick and Derinda Bussman.
Mary Sue was born on May 22, 1939 in Hoisington. She graduated from Hoisington High School in 1957, and attended Brown Mackie Business College in Salina. She was employed as Office Professional for K-State Research and Extension in Barton County for 42 years before retirement.
