Bill and Alberta Mawhiney of Hoisington will celebrate their 70th anniversary on March 31, 2021, with a card shower.

Alberta Aldridge and Bill Mawhiney were united in marriage on March 31, 1951, in Parsons. The couple owned Mawhiney Insurance Agency in Hoisington from 1971 to 1990 where Alberta was secretary. The couple have four children, Mark (Kim) Mawhiney of Overland Park, Janet (Duane) Koester of Hoisington, Lisa (Robert) Baum of Great Bend and Brad and (Cyndi) Mawhiney of Gardner; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren with two on the way.
