For the next couple weeks, I am going to feature our staff at Ellinwood Libraries, so you can put a name to a face when you come to see us. 

Julie Blakeslee is our Technical/Public Services Librarian and is beginning her 21st year. She is married to Kent and their family consists of Eric and his wife Mackenzie, and Kyle and his fiancee Marissa. Julie’s favorite books are The Count of Monte Cristo and The Firm, and movie is To Kill a Mockingbird. In her spare time, Julie enjoys quilting, reading, crafts/scrapbooking, and enjoys watching the youth activities when she can. As far as working at the library, Julie likes getting a box of new books and getting them ready for the public. She also enjoys helping the patrons find books or new authors to try. Her favorite part is seeing the little ones who love coming to the library to check out books or be part of StoryTime. 

Treva Ann Paden began working at the library on Aug. 10, 2019 as our Interlibrary Loan and Children’s Librarian. Her family consists of her dad Glen Burress, who takes her out for lunch every day; Jake Schepmann (oldest son); Heather Nicolet, son Lain, and boyfriend Michael Bailey; Jerry Schepmann and wife Emily; Kristin Wondra, husband Mike, with kids Hayden, Alexis, and Quinten; and Nickolas (Nick) Schepmann with daughter Bexley. They are her life! Treva’s favorite books are Terri Blackstock books, and movie is Fried Green Tomatoes, but depends on her mood, just no scary ones! In Treva’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, five kids and five grandkids and boyfriend Mark. When asked what she enjoys about working at the library, Treva responded, “My Boss! My coworkers! Patrons! Littles! and the positive environment.”  

These ladies look forward to seeing you at Ellinwood School/Community Library. We wish all of our staff, students, patrons, and families a great start to the new school year!
