Preceptor Pi, Beta Sigma Phi, met on May 4. Lois Johnson read an inspirational article on Overcoming Illiteracy from historical articles from The Torch, the Beta Sigma Phi magazine. Ways & Means Chairman Janis Link reported on the very successful Reception Sisters Fundraiser. Karen Reif gave a program sharing her favorite recipes and collected recipes from members which she will put into booklets and distribute at the next chapter meeting.

The final activity of the sorority year was a road trip to Sweet Traditions in Rozel for the chapter birthday dinner and meeting on May 18. Members enjoyed a meal prepared by Faye Grandy in her Victorian venue. Arrangements were facilitated by Social Chairman, Jeri Brozek.

After the dinner, a brief meeting was called to order by the incoming President, Judy Krebaum. It was decided members will meet this summer at 11:30 a.m. on June 16 at the Gather in Ellinwood for lunch. Karen Reif presented members with the recipe books she created from favorite recipes submitted by Chapter members. Summer birthdays and anniversaries were acknowledged.

The next meeting, beginning a new sorority year, will be at 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 7, in the Farmer’s Bank Meeting Room. Brenda Black will act as hostess and will present the program. The theme for the 2021-22 year will be “90 Years to Shine.”
