Preceptor Pi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi first meeting of October was held at Rosie Luthi’s home.

An appeal letter from United Way was read. The duties of the Program Committee was read by Lois Johnson. The program was given by Melanie Calcara about how and why The Prairie God Mothers got started. In preparation for Giving Tuesday (the first Tuesday in November) the chapter decided to give their quarterly donation to the Golden Belt Foundation to access matching funds for Prairie God Mothers. Jeri Brozek shared about the trip to Abilene to eat at the Brookville Hotel. The fruit for the Backpack Fruit project will be delivered by Rosie Luthi.

The second meeting of October was at Brenda Black’s home. Lois Johnson read a short story about Burned Biscuits. Jeri reported on the trip to the Brookville Hotel. A count was taken for the Thanksgiving Dinner on Nov. 15. Jeri Brozek gave a program on the history and some of the traditions of Halloween. 

The next meeting will be at Susan Coulson’s home.
