Quilting Bees meet

The Quilting Bees guild met on Sept. 17. Thank you goes to a donation of books by a fellow quilter, and 12 pieced quilt tops for prayer quilts by Susan Grey of Radium. Announcements included the Silver Needle Quilt Show on Oct. 12 at the Salina Bicentennial Center and the next guild meeting on Oct. 1 with Becky Obermiller presenting the program. Ann Hicks distributed the next step in the mystery quilt wall hanging. Fourteen members attended the Sept. 14 workday at the First Presbyterian Church.

Show and Tell participants were: Heather Hicks, 50th anniversary quilt in yellow and tan; Karen Hadley, wall hanging in brights; Jeana Padgham, wall hanging and a quilt top in orange and fall colors; Alice Clapsaddle, Row by Row table topper from Bossy Sisters featuring plates and silverware; Ann Hicks, black T-shirt with metallic Indian motif and two quilt prayer tops.
