The Quilting Bees guild met on Tuesday, March 19 at the First Presbyterian Church. A thank you note was read from the Rev. Jack Singer for his recent prayer quilt. Discussion was held and plans are being made for the Quilter’s Celebration from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, at the church.

Ann Hicks, president, distributed the final three flowers for those participating in the mystery wall hanging.

Diann Morell demonstrated “Ruching,” a technique using ribbon with samples of flowers in multiple colors. Show and Tell participants were: Colleen Wolf, “Knit Chicks” wallhanging top, blue and brown quilt, “lake camping spot” quilt top and various panels; Janell Barton, Quilt Corral 2017 block of the month quilt, first ever tried in multiple colors and designs; Karen Hadley, T-shirt quilt top with flannel sashing, the sixth she has made; Melvania Prescott, “Princess Strong” quilt top for a child; Ann Hicks, “Ohio Star” quilt block from Bossy Sisters.

The next regular meeting will be on April 2 with Colleen Wolf presenting the program.
