The 15th biennial Brack Reunion was held on Aug. 1 at the City Auditorium in LaCrosse. Eighty-eight descendants and guests registered under the families of John Peter (23), Henry (29), Johannas (33) and Philip (3).
Judi Brack Johnson, President welcomed all and gave the meal prayer. A pot luck dinner was enjoyed by all. A sing-a-long was lead by Delmer and Kelly Seltmann in German and English.
Names were announced of family members who have departed since the last reunion and a moment of silence was dedicated to them.
The business meeting was conducted by Judi Brack Johnson. A new historian is needed. Darla Hanks read the minutes of the previous reunion and gave the treasurer’s report. Announcements were made from the group. The next reunion will be held in LaCrosse on Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012. The meeting ended with the group singing “God Be With You Till We Meet Again.”
Prizes were presented to Zelda Brack, for the eldest female; Carl Schlegel, eldest male; Declan Fitzmorris, youngest in attendance; and Delano Brack for traveling the furthest. A door prize went to Marrily McCamey.
