Claflin High School Class of 1947 held a social gathering and organizational meeting on Oct. 10, at the home of Virginia (Dressler) Klepper. Co-host was Eileen and Bob Ingersoll.
On Oct. 11, the group car-pooled to the Wetlands Educational Center where they toured the facility and Cheyenne Bottoms. The group then traveled to Ellinwood for a catered meal at the Historical Wolf Hotel.
Classmates attending were Hilmer Houschild and Carol Miller from the state of Washington; Warren Willenberg of Wichita; Leighton and Marily Faerbairn of Garden City; Vic and Evelyn Hoffman of Hoisington; Alice (Degner) and husband Les Bueglin of Topeka; Herman Disque of Lyons; Marlin Disque and daughter Debra Rosenberg, Bob and Eileen Ingersoll and Virginia Dressler Klepper, all of Great Bend.
