The descendants of Adam and Clara Hanzlick Hejny held their annual reunion on June 5 at the Carl Soden Recreation Center in Great Bend. A potluck dinner was swerved. Hostesses were JoAnn Atkins and Shelly Brown.
Attending from Great Bend were: Leonard and Luanne French, Leroy and Juanita Weathers, Mel and Ellen Richter, Rick, Olivia, Aloah, and Logan Urban, George and Dixie Hejny, Gene and Teresa Finck, Robert Hejny and Miranda, Rebecca Kraisinger, Jacob Ford, Jennifer Alyala, Olivia, Leslie and Selena. Out of town guests were: Donna Feist and Louise Hejny of Gardner; JoAnne Atkins, Shelby Brown of Andover; Sally Buckman of Macksville; Kris Weathers, Crystal Glenn, Hunter and Dallas and Luelma Hejny of Ellinwood; Norma Kraisinger and Jessica of Otis; Howard and Gina Cartmill of Dighton; Max and Alice Copple, Ben Copple of Miltonvale; Wyatt Cumberland of Lindsborg; Boyd and Susan Shupe of Healy; Leonard Hejny, Jesse, Melanie, Devin and Hannah Hoch of Gorham; Clint Hejny, Clayton and Kyelynn of Russell; al Joe Wallace of Barnard; Marcia Hejny, Bernard and Jeanne Hejny, Alsaysho Hejny of Grand Junction, Colo.; and Don and Roberta Hejny of LaMesa, Calif.
Next years reunion will be held on June 4 at the Carl Soden Recreation Center. Hosts will be the descendants of George Hejny.
