The 16th Annual Kansas fwo Jima Reunion and Dinner, founded by the late Walt Vincent in 1996, will be held May 7, at the Arden H. McKee American Legion Post #128, 108 East Garfield in Sterling. The door will open at 2:30 p.m. for refreshments and viewing of memorabilia. All veterans are invited and encouraged to bring personal memorabilia. Colors will be presented at 6 p.m. followed by the serving of dinner. The meal will cost $10 per person, at the door. Menu will be tossed salad, choice of smothered steak or fried chjcken, baked potato, green beans, bread, and dessert, coffee, or tea; food substitution available upon request.

It is very important to make your meat dish selection with your reservations so there will not be a shortage of food.
