The annual Tompkins reunion, family of the late John and Abi Tompkins of the Byers area, was held July 17, at the IOOF Hall in St. John, with 34 relatives attending.

A covered dish dinner was held at noon, followed by a family photo session, business meeting, and much visiting.

In attendance were Kevin and Laura Davis and Mark and Doris Tompkins of St. John; Matt, Amanda and Jace Meiklejohn and Brian Evans of Pratt; Teresa Bachand, Rae Ann Brack, and Kenny and Fern Tompkins of Great Bend; Jetta Wellman of Macksville; Tammy Kelly of Lebo; Stan and Maxine Julian of Hutchinson; Roger and Patty Wellman and Janet Ferguson of Wichita; Marvin and Ozelle Julian of Stafford; Leslie Medley and Brian and Lindy Savoy of Derby; Harold and Yvonne Tompkins of Ulysses; and Kathy O’Mara of Reading; Mattie and Molly Meiklejohn of Elizabeth Town, Kent.; Jim and Barbara Clure of Shawnee, Okla.; Greg and Lori Tompkins of Ashville, Ala.; and Lochlan Tompkins of Cropwell, Ala.
