“The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe,” dramatized by Joseph Robinette, follows the adventures of the Pevensie children, Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy, who step into a wardrobe and find themselves in Narnia, a winter wonderland inhabited by fantastic creatures and talking animals. For all its beauty, Narnia is not without danger.
All the inhabitants of Narnia live in fear of their ruthless queen, the White Witch, who keeps the land under her spell, so it is “always winter, but never Christmas.” Many Narnians hope for the return of the Great Lion, Aslan, who could challenge the White Witch. The Witch fears the appearance of human children in Narnia signals Aslan’s return, so the four siblings are forced into hiding. They successfully evade the Witch, but then Edmund disappears. Peter, Susan, and Lucy are determined to find him, even if they must save all of Narnia in order to rescue him.
