August Siefkes competed in the International Piano Professionals Association Conero International Piano Competition at the University of Kansas on March 11. She received a gold medal and has advanced to the international round to be held in Recanati, Italy in July. There is also a virtual option for competing.  She is a senior at Great Bend High School. She is pictured with her piano instructor, Dr. Alejandro Avila.
