Virgil Zink of Claflin will celebrate his 80th birthday on Aug. 25 with a card shower. He celebrated on Saturday with a family gathering.
Virgil was born on Aug. 25, 1938, at St. Rose Hospital in Great Bend. In 1960 he was united in marriage to Diane Rabenseifner. He is a farmer. Virgil and his wife have five children, Brian and Jamie Zink, Joe and Lora Zink, Laura and Tom Calvert, Bart Zink, and Carla and Todd Liebl; 19 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
