Every community has room to grow. Whether it’s attracting new businesses, creating more affordable housing, expanding childcare options, improving health-care access, or modernizing aging infrastructure, most of us have thought about what our hometowns could do better.

It’s easy to identify needs, but creating meaningful change requires more than conversation. It requires community participation.

Many people suggest shopping locally or encouraging entrepreneurs to invest in our region. While those efforts certainly help, long-term progress depends on understanding what residents truly value and where they believe investments should be made.

The Golden Belt Community Foundation is inviting residents throughout the region to become part of that process by participating in a comprehensive Community Needs Assessment. In partnership with an independent data analysis firm, the Foundation has developed a survey designed to gather the thoughts, priorities, and aspirations of community members.

The information collected will do much more than measure public opinion. It will provide valuable data that can help nonprofit organizations, local governments, businesses, and community leaders make informed decisions and strengthen grant applications that bring outside funding into our communities.

Every completed survey helps paint a clearer picture of our region’s greatest opportunities. Whether your passion is supporting local businesses, improving parks, addressing housing shortages, expanding health care, or investing in youth and families, your input can help shape future projects and priorities.
