Information to help consumers protect themselves from identity theft, scams and deceptive business practices will be offered next week at the Barton County Fair, Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt said today.
“Helping Kansans protect themselves and their families from scams and rip-offs is part of our mission,” Schmidt said. “I hope folks will stop by our booth to visit and to pick up some information.”
The Attorney General’s Office will sponsor a booth at the Fair to provide information and help consumers learn more about the latest scams being reported in the state. The booth will be open from 5 to 10 p.m. Wednesday, July 8 through Friday, July 10 and noon until 10 p.m. on Saturday, July 11.
The Barton County Fair is held at the Expo Complex located 2.5 miles west of Great Bend.
