All three GBHS Debate Teams place

All three debate teams that competed at the Oct. 24, debate tournament held at Thomas More Prep-Marion High School in Hays placed. All three teams competing for GBHS squad had a 4-1 win/loss record and medaled in both divisions. In the Open Division both teams placed and tied with a 4-1 win/loss and 22 speaker points. The tie was broken by their opposition records. Makinna Dykes and Lisa Marlow placed 5th and Sara Allen and Becca Kay placed 6th. In the Novice Division Garrett Dykes and Geoffrey Pafford placed 6th with a 4-1 win/loss record. The squad placed 2nd over all. Individually Makinna Dykes had the best speaker rankings in the Open Division and received another 1st place medal for that recognition.
