Altered Books workshop

Altered Books’ workshop  will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, July 5, at the Grassroots Art Center in Lucas. The instructor is LuAnne Howell, an artist from Lincoln. Reuse and upcycle is the basis of much of LuAnne’s artwork. Painting, stitchery, and altering books are only a few of her talents. An old unwanted book, can suddenly become a treasure box, capturing ones own mementos.
Thanks to the generosity of the Harriette Horner Memorial Gift, the registration for this class is only $5 per  person. The participants may, however, want to bring their own old unwanted book, and a few mementos to use in their project (suggestions-buttons, a piece of costume jewelry, a favorite poem, a lovely piece of scrapbook paper, etc).
To reserve a place in this class please send your name, your address, your phone number and e-mail, with your $5 registration fee, to the Grassroots Art Center, Attention Workshops, PO Box 304, Lucas, KS.  67648.
