The Great Bend Tree Board, in association with the City of Great Bend, will celebrate Arbor Day with a Re-TREEt Ice Cream Social from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at the Argonne Forest on the north side of Veterans Memorial Park. This free event is open to the public.

Jami Seier, K-State Area Forester, will be on hand to demonstrate proper tree pruning techniques and lead a walking tour through the Forest. Those in attendance will be TREEted to ice cream bars and can pick up a free oak tree sapling donated by the Great Bend Fed-Ex Ground office and Living Lands and Water.
