Authorities are investigating a counterfeit $100 bill and a counterfeit $20 bill found in the Barton County Jail deposits.
Detective David Bailey at the Great Bend Police Department said the bogus money most likely came from inmates who were booked into jail in two separate instances. When personal effects are collected, any cash goes into a deposit bag.
