Free computer classes return to library

The Great Bend Public Library will again offer free beginning computer classes.

On Tuesdays, Nov. 9, 23 and 30, from 10:15 a.m. to noon, participants in the "Beginning Internet" will learn how to search using the search engine Google. Use of the mouse and keyboard will be covered in the first class.

"Beginning Microsoft Word XP" classes will be held on Tuesdays, from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Participants will learn to write letters and create documents. No computer experience is necessary to take the class however; the ability to type or find letters quickly is required. Use of the mouse and keyboard will be covered in the first class.

"Beginning Microsoft Excel" classes will be held on Tuesdays, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. This class is for those with no Excel experience. Those taking the class must have some computer experience.

Visit the library to enroll in any of the above classes or e-mail classes@ckls.org. Include name, address, phone number and title of the class. Enrollment is limited to nine people per class.
