First Assembly of God Church will once again sponsor its Giant Easter Egg Hunt for all kids through the sixth grade, at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 7, at the GBHS practice field. Children’s Paster Dale MacKinney said this is a new location, just west of Memorial Stadium at 20th and Morton St. where the event has previously been held. The event is free and open to the public.
Also new this year is an Easter egg cannon, designed and built by Aaron Appley and other men at the church to help spread the 35,000 plastic eggs between each egg run. There are five age groups and new eggs are added to the field after each group has its turn.
As in the past, youths from the First Assembly of God, 601 Patton Road, will provide some entertainment during the breaks. The JAM Squad will have some songs with actions, and the youth group will share its “human video,” a musical skit
