WICHITA — Alleda M. Hickel, the Claflin woman injured in a two-vehicle accident last Saturday in McPherson County, was in fair condition Tuesday, a spokesman at Wesley Medical Center said.
Hickel, 38, was driving north on I-135 near Moundridge when she slowed down because of weather conditions; the Jeep she was driving was hit by a semitrailer. Both drivers were wearing seat belts, and the other driver was not injured, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
