Kanopolis State Park will host a guided nature hike from 9 to 11 a.m. on Aug. 31. Hikers will meet at Trailhead C in the East Shore State Park-Horsethief Area and will learn about area history, plants and animals as well as see caves, creeks, rock formations, and prairie. Hikers are asked to wear clothes and shoes that can get wet and muddy, bring bug spray and a water bottle.
