David Libberton of McCracken won the first-place prize of $750 at the recent Sunflower Diversified Services poker tournament. Jared Manning of Ellinwood won $300 for second and Joseph Ramsey of Russell $150 for third.
Those placing fourth through eighth and their winnings were: Kurtis Linenberger of Hays, $75; Brennan Clark of Lyons, $50; Roxeanne Sexton of Albert, $40; Marvin Koch of Ellinwood, $30; and Barbara Polzin of Hoisington, $30.
"We appreciate each of the 96 poker players," said Connie Oetken, Sunflower director of development. "Their participation directly benefits people with developmental disabilities and delays."
The next Sunflower Texas Hold ‘Em tournament is set for Sunday, March 25 at the Highland Hotel in Great Bend.
Sunflower serves infants, toddlers and adults with developmental disabilities and delays in Barton, Pawnee, Rice, Rush and Stafford counties.
