Library to show holiday movies

Great Bend Public Library, 1409 Williams St., will be showing free holiday movies on Dec. 2 and 3.

The December After-School Movie will be shown at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 2. Funnyman Tim Allen of TV’s "Home Improvement" stars as Scott Calvin in this touching tale of a divorced dad who stumbles across the chance to become Santa Claus and take his son on a magical sleigh ride.

That evening the library will show "National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation" for its Adults Night Out screening. Admission is for people 18 years and older and the move starts at 7 p.m. Dec. 2.

At 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, the movie "Elf" will be shown for students in grades 7-12.

For the 7 o’clock showings, the doors will open at 6:45 and close at 7:10 p.m.
