Members of the Model Association of Central Kansas (MACK) will be flying and talking about model airplanes during a free come-and-go event on Saturday. It will run from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the MACK flying field, located at 114 SW 20 Ave.
The program is for all ages, but children must be accompanied by at least one adult, said Garet Fitzpatrick, program coordinator at the Great Bend Recreation Commission, which is co-sponsoring the event. Those who attend may have a chance to fly one of the model airplanes with the aid of a MACK instructor. The association will provide a hot dog feed around noon.
MACK is an organization providing a safe, family-oriented environment to promote education and wholesome recreation for its members and the community as a whole through modeling activities. For more information contact MACK member Roger Brining at 792-9645.
