“Pond Care 101” will be presented 5:30-7 p.m. on Thursday, June 20, at the Great Bend Recreation Center, 1214 Stone St.  This free presentation by Shawna Beran includes tips on maintaining a pool or backyard pond. Garret Fitzpatrick, program director for the Great Bend Recreation Commission, said Beran will cover topics such as water care, plants, fish and diseases. There will also be time for questions.
