Rec Commission offers two new walking programs

The Great Bend Recreation Commission offers two new walking programs to promote community-wide health and fitness while providing incentives to stay active. The first program, “Stroller Walks,” encourages moms and dads to get active while pushing a child in a stroller. The second program, “Great Bend Walks,” is open to all ages and encourages participants to be active for at least 30 minutes per day.
“We encourage you and your friends to get involved and receive the benefits of participating in these programs, including committing to an individual lifestyle of consistent physical activity, which in return creates a healthier community,” said Garet Fitzpatrick, program coordinator.
