The Shafer Art Gallery will begin a new series of learning sessions entitled “Art Chats,” beginning next week at the gallery, located in the Fine Arts Building at Barton Community College. The first program, “Ladies of the Rococo: Belles of the French Court,” will be presented from noon to 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20. It will be led by Shafer Gallery Director Dave Barnes.
The program will coincide with the gallery’s “Lineage” exhibit.
Future chats will be held on the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month. Guests will have an opportunity to learn more about the exhibit as well as ask questions and participate in the discussion. Attendees are also encouraged to bring a sack lunch.
