Street signs missing in Ellinwood

ELLINWOOD — Crime Stoppers is seeking information about the removal of street signs and brackets from Ellinwood Streets. Great Bend Police Chief Dean Akings, speaking for Crime Stoppers, reports eight signs and brackets were eight stolen or damaged at various location in Ellinwood sometime between 9 p.m. on July 4 and 8 a.m. on July 6.
“The loss of a stop sign could cause an injury accident or even death,” Akings said. “This is a serious crime and we need your help. Loss exceeds $700.”
