Aug. 2 Accident victims improve

WICHITA — The condition of one Great Bend woman has been upgraded and a second accident victim has been released after being treated for injuries sustained in an Aug. 2 car accident.
A Via Christi Christi Hospital official said Linda Schneidewind, 48, Great Bend, has been treated and released from the hospital. She was driving a 2002 Buick Park Avenue that was damaged in the accident at 24th and Washington streets.
Katharine Piper, 60, Great Bend, has been upgraded to “good condition,” after being in “serious condition,” according to a Via Christi report.  
Piper was driving eastbound on Washington when her 2001 Honda mini-van struck two vehicles stopped at the intersection after she had a an apparent medical condition, according to police.
